Gauntlet Genie Is Now Part of Genie Squad Builder

Gauntlet Genie has been removed from the FUTGenie extension for EA FC 27. Everything it did (and a lot more) now lives in the Genie Squad Builder, found on EA's Squads hub.

Where gauntlet squads live now

Open the Genie Squad Builder tile on the Squads hub, set up a requirement set (or import one with a share code), then press Start Building. In that popup, tick Gauntlet mode (build multiple squads). The familiar options are all there:

  • Number of squads: how many squads to build in one go.
  • Strategy: best-first puts your strongest players in the first squad, balanced spreads quality evenly across all of them.
  • Exclude loan players: keeps loan cards out.
  • Prefer low-rated subs: fills benches with your cheapest eligible players.

You can still copy a formation and tactics from an existing squad using the Formation dropdown's Copy from my squad (with tactics) group.

The big upgrade over the old Gauntlet Genie is that gauntlet squads can now be built against any requirements you like: chemistry, team rating, rarities, nations, leagues and more. See the Genie Squad Builder guide for the full walkthrough.
